worked in front of the flame
I enjoy touching the vessels, which remind me of whelks, with their dotted surface, taking them from one hand to the other. The flattering and fine nubby massage is complemented by a visual delight in colour and texture. In terms of taste, the whole thing would be completed with an exquisite drop of wine. Only vessels lying on the floor suggest a finished feast.
To create a spatial structure and to use the glasses not only as “topple me” drinking vessels, I have created a hanging dwelling for the vessels in the form of a filigree glass palace. Light gathers and reflects in the pearly hanging glass curtain, which is pushed to the side, creating a visual feast for the eyes.
